  Transactions

I am always giving considerable effort to establish and uphold a good communication and to initiate fast and correct shipment or payment. The number of satisfied customers and transaction partners enforce this view. Nevertheless, whenever you feel there is still some indistinctness, please, do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail. I will be happy to clarify and assist in any way I can. Next to this, it is always possible, provided the general reugulations are met, to return the purchased item within 4 weeks after the day of purchase, with full reimbursement of the purchase price.
By placing a bid you agree to comply to the general regulations listed here.
Below, you will find further details regarding transactions, depending on whether you are selling or buying.

When you are buying:

You will receive a notification of your successful purchase usually within 24 hours. This invoice provides you with all information necessary to complete the transaction. The item will be dispatched to you using a method of shipment as preferred by you as soon as the amount due is received on our account. Multiple items can be combined to safe on postage costs, if preferred by you. The total due will be the sum of the item price and shipping and handling costs. Shipping and handling costs are not intended to make money from and are solely covering the actual costs. Please refer to the overview of the shipping and handling costs. When your item is acquired through eBay, no additional eBay fees will be charged to you.
Payments of my items is easy, by using cash, remittance, or credit card. Unfortunately, I do not accept checks.

   Cash:

I accept cash payment in Euros and US dollars. Please note, sending cash in a letter is at the buyer's risk, so please make sure you send cash in a secure way. The shipping address will be provided with your invoice through e-mail. Unfortunately, I cannot accept any responsibility for any cash containing letters that are lost in the mail. If you are unsure whether you should send cash in a letter, take a moment to consider the alternative payment methods below.

   Remittance / Money transfer:

Remittance or money transfer is one of the most secure payment methods, but may take a bit more time to complete. From within the EU it is possible to remit money internationally without additional costs. It is required to use an International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and Bank Identifier Code (BIC). Both numbers will be provided with your invoice. Unfortunately, the time frame of the banks involved for this secure type of transaction is still rather large, resulting in approximately 3-5 work days before the money is actually remitted to the account. Please, bear this in mind when the transaction appears still to be pending. If in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail.

If you are outside the EU or if your bank does not provide for remitting money without additional costs, it is still possible to transfer money to my account. However, please arrange for additional fees to be in your beneficiary ('OUR': all charges for ordering customer). I will not accept remittances that imply additional costs to my side and I will either reject the transfer or charge you with the additional costs. If in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail.

  Credit card:

PayPal is a secure and extremely fast method of payment, and free to use. Two methods of payment are possible:

- directly from your PayPal balance
- using a credit card
(Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express)

Payments via PayPal are always accepted when transferred directly from your PayPal balance, as no costs are involved for both parties.

Please note: PayPal charges a surcharge for payments by credit cards (approx. 4%) to the receiving party. PayPal payments by credit card will consequently only be accepted when coming from non European Union accounts (e.g. USA).
Buyers from within the EU are kindly requested to use one of the alternative payment methods, such as the free of charge remittance (IBAN, BIC).

When you are selling:

I usually use money transfer, PayPal, cash payment, or occasionally BidPay for completing the transaction payment. From within the EU it is possible to transfer money internationally without additional costs to you. For this, it is required that you can provide me with the International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and Bank Identifier Code (BIC) of your account and an address. Your bank will inform you about both the IBAN and BIC numbers if you do not already know them. Unfortunately, the time frame of the banks involved for this type of transaction is still rather large, resulting in approximately 3-5 work days before the money is actually transferred to the account. Please, bear this in mind when the transaction appears still to be pending. If in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail.

   Conditions and terms

All items are described as accurately as possible, using recent catalogues and detailed philatelic literature as much as possible, if not stated differently. I give my best to assess and describe the quality of all items to the best of my abilities. In the unforeseen case that an item description turns out to be substantially incorrect, I always give substantial effort to solve any misunderstandings to mutual satisfaction. Generally, I will be happy to provide you with more detailed scans of any item upon request prior to the transaction. Unless stated otherwise, quoted (catalogue or market) values are not binding.

The item remains the full property of the seller until the entire invoice is paid. The buyer is not entitled to resell, pass on, or give away the item until the entire invoice is paid.

Claims relating to obvious defects must be received by the seller in written form, preferably by e-mail, within ten days of delivery and not later than 14 days after the date of purchase. Items may be returned within 14 days from the date of purchase, with a complete refund of the purchase price but excluding postage, handling fees, insurance or other fees not included in the item price. To claim any refund, the items are required to be sent back unchanged and unused in the original packaging containing all possible enclosures and using at least a comparable level and fashion of shipment as the level and fashion of shipment used by the seller (e.g. postage paid, registered if received that way, insured, sealed, parcel shipment etc.). Return shipments not fulfilling these conditions, are not entitled to any claim or refund. Defects or faults, partial or full loss and/or damages incurred during transport cannot be the basis for any claim, refund or restitution as well as partial or full replacement.

No claims of any sort including return, in particular relating to quality and quantity may be made in respect of collections, accumulations, items that are sold 'as is', 'as shown', 'o.O.', 'ohne Obligo', or 'wie besehen', and other large lots.
Lots already stated to contain faults cannot be returned by reason of further small faults. Defects which can be seen from illustrations (margins, perforations, cancellations, centering etc.) cannot be subject of complaints. No complaint will be considered if lots or stamps have been altered. Alterations include removal of hinges, hinge remainders or paper adhesions, immersion in water, treating with chemicals and the addition (or removal) of marks of any sort. Alterations do not include the new application of experts marks, provided that the wish for expertising the item by a mutually agreed upon philatelic expert is expressed prior to the purchase in writing, preferably by e-mail. In that particular case, the term of possible return and refund is extended with the currently general term, however never exceeding 3 months. Claims of any sort are in that particular case only valid when the item is judged by a prior to the purchase mutually agreed upon philatelic expert to be false, or partially false. Judgements made by the said expert regarding the quality of the item, including the position of any applied expert's mark or the observation of (partial) repairs, cannot be the basis for any sort of claim.
By placing a bid on items which have already been expertised or on items with certificates the bidder accepts the expert marks and certificates which are available for his guidance and inspection as decisive.
The seller is entitled to require the buyer to obtain at his expense reports from an independent expert that substantiate the claims.

In the case of any dispute solely Dutch law will be effective. Place of justice is Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Should one of the above conditions be unworkable in whole or in part, the validity of the other conditions will remain unaffected.
This translation is provided for information only; the Dutch text is to be taken as authoritative.

By placing your bid you acknowledge and accept these conditions.
